The Medicine Wheel is a symbol of holistic teachings based on the cycles of nature. Drumming and prayers are shared at this event.
All are welcome to join elders Phil Mechuskosis L’Hirondelle and Gisele L’Hirondelle from ‘All My Relations Teachings’ to celebrate the summer equinox and to usher in the new season.
Enter through the Visitor Centre and meet at the Medicine Wheel. This is an outdoor event. (The Ceremony is free but Garden admission is required).
Registration not required.
What to bring:
- A small stone(s) to infuse prayers into
- Clothing and gear appropriate for the weather (ie. warm clothes, cool clothes, rain clothes, visor, hat, umbrella, sunscreen, water etc.).
- Bring your own chair/blanket to sit on as the ceremony is held outdoors and lasts 3 hours.
- Optional: Food to share with community at the end of the ceremony, and/or a drum if you have one
