Where Code and Music Meet
Students create original works and and control sound, video, and lighting using a wide range of digital interfaces and sensors—including gesture tracking, webcams, Kinects, accelerometers, game controllers, custom circuits, Arduinos, and mobile devices. Performances feature both traditional instruments and innovative digital instruments.
12:00 pm — Electroacoustic Music (MUSC 319)
Students present new multichannel electroacoustic music works using spatialized sound synthesis and processing techniques, surrounding the audience in novel soundscapes.
7:30 pm — Laptop Orchestra (MUSC 419)
Students and dancers perform interdisciplinary media works that merge movement, sound, and light through custom-written software and real-time interaction.
