Discover the beauty of Nerikiri, a traditional Japanese confectionery used in tea ceremonies. In this hands-on workshop, led by Wagashi artist Megu Takahashi, you'll learn the art of shaping Nerikiri dough and create cute Halloween designs. Whether you're a Japanese tea ceremony enthusiast, love making sweets, or simply curious about Japanese culture, this workshop is a fun and creative way to explore the world of Wagashi.

IMPORTANT
Anyone aged 10 and up is welcome to join.
Please bring an apron and a hand towel.
The workshop end time may vary slightly depending on the pace of the class. We kindly ask that you schedule with some flexibility.

初心者の方にも楽しんでいただけるよう、丁寧なレッスンを心がけています。レッスンは基本的に英語で行いますが、日本語でのサポートも可能ですので、初めての方も安心してご参加ください。
練り切りを通して日本文化に触れ、一緒に楽しい時間を過ごしましょう。
Megu Takahashi is a Vancouver-based wagashi artist and the founder of M Tokyo Confectionery. Specializing in seasonal nerikiri and original designs, she continues to refine her craft under the guidance of Junichi Mitsubori, Grand Master of Kado Ichikaryu. She leads nerikiri workshops, collaborates with local businesses, and occasionally offers her creations at pop-ups and local cafés. Through her work, she shares the beauty of wagashi and Japanese culture.
