Join us at City Hall on Halloween morning to learn more about the program, enjoy birthday cake, and win prizes.
We welcome both catch basin adopters and anyone interested in reducing water pollution. Halloween costumes are welcome – but if you don’t have a costume, come in a cozy fall outfit.
Clogged catch basins can lead to flooded streets and trash washing into adjacent waterways. Catch basin adopters give their time and energy to keep neighbourhood catch basins clear, protecting water quality and preventing damage to public and private property. Adopters are given a leaf rake and vest to help them stay safe and visible.
Adopt a Catch Basin is a program run by the City of Vancouver, providing support and equipment to help residents keep their catch basins clear to prevent street flooding.
