Spend Saturday afternoon experiencing three community-based music projects back-to-back.
It’s surround sound on a massive scale when 100 electric guitarists made up of professional and community players perform Tim Brady’s 100 Very Good Reasons Why _____. Brady’s monumental work honours the legendary player Les Paul. Hear the energy of 100 players on an epic adventure that takes the electric guitar out of its rock and blues comfort zone.
Back Pocket Songs is all about the fun and fulfilling enjoyment of singing. Led by vocalist, artist, and choir conductor Vanessa Richards, the Roundhouse singing group performs a program of songs to get us all singing along.
Instruments of Change in partnership with the Binners Project present Street Beats, a community performance in which all the percussive instruments are made from found objects discarded in the back alleys and beyond. The imaginative result of workshops held around Vancouver, Street Beats find inventive ways to make sound from everyday objects.
100 Very Good Reasons Why _____ is co-presented with Redshift Music Society
