The Arctic is a fragile, beautiful place that most people know very little about. But they should know more. For more than four decades, the Vancouver Aquarium has been supporting and conducting ongoing studies in Canada's Arctic. This fall, visitors to the Vancouver Aquarium will be immersed in a new perspective on the Arctic's delicate ecosystems.Visitors will experience displays, live Arctic wildlife and new programs with researchers who have first-hand experience will show a part of the world that is vanishing before our eyes.Get nose-to-beak and gently interact with a distinguished, predatory gyrfalcon. This fascinating species of bird is native to the Arctic and have adapted to live in the harsh conditions of the icy North. Meander through an Arctic maze in the Ocean Courtyard on a journey to discover some of the Arctic's keystone wildlife species and learn how the rapidly melting ice is impacting their fragile habitats. Or sit back in the Goldcorp 4-D Theatre and let senses take hold as you experience the ever-changing landscape of the North through BBC Earth's Frozen Planet. October 17 to October 22, 2015
