Coastline Pilot: Coastline Pilot is a four-piece Canadian indie rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia. Known for its energized live shows, and emotionally charged songs, the band creates a massive sound, with big guitars, big drums and compelling vocal melodies. With passion through music as their primary goal, Coastline Pilot is young but has spent a lifetime waiting for their creative release.
Fronted by twins Thomas and Leo Tesan, bass player Chad Devlin, and drummer Launey McG, Coastline Pilot is a hi-octane, high energy garage band with apparent musical influences ranging from ska to the blues. The band has put much time and effort into perfecting their craft, and with a steadily growing fan base, it seems as though the hard work is starting to show results.
Formed in the spring of 2008, CLP, as dubbed by their faithful, take pride in their songwriting first and foremost, drawing from personal experiences and their slight taste for the dramatics. This band will continue to make music, no matter what challenges they face. They are constantly driven by the anticipation of what lies ahead. As long as there is an ear to listen, the boys will strive to make the best music possible and won’t quit until everyone knows the name Coastline Pilot.
Vaultry: It’s very rare that a group of musicians gets together and pursues a vision that is as focused as VAULTRY’s brooding, emotional, and melodic sound. This Victoria, BC based Post- Hardcore band is influenced by a diverse group of films, artists, and works of literature and try to reflect their sound as not only a piece of music, but a work of art. The five piece prides itself on its atmospheric textures, passionate vocals, and relentless rhythm and drum sections. The band began its sound with a mix of Metalcore, Melodic Hardcore, Ambient, and Emo, but have evolved to have a majority of clean vocals, emotional hooks, and a giant sound. After forming in 2014, the band released their debut EP ‘Coven’ in late 2015 and began gathering an expansive and dedicated fan base both locally and internationally. VAULTRY has performed locally around Vancouver Island and plans to tour Western Canada in late 2016. The band has a strong belief in community and treats every fan like they are part of the VAULTRY family.
VAULTRY is currently working on their debut full-length in dedication to their late guitarist, Chasen Fraser, and plans to release in Fall 2016.
Jake Touzel Band: Discovering music at the age of 13, Jake Touzel performed in and fronted a handful of other groups until realizing that his efforts were best spent solo. Drawing inspiration from such artists including but not limited to Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Constantines, Tom Waits and Jeff Buckley, Jake spent his early musical years playing countless café gigs. In 2007, he created the band Gordonn, to showcase the songs he had written with some talented friends to fill the gaps a musician cannot achieve playing solo. Recording a 5 song EP and playing the likes of Vancouver's Media Club and the Bourbon at the age of 17. The group disbanded in 2008.
The latter years found him performing solo, jamming with new friends, and continuing to write songs. Deciding to make music his focal point, he had a realization that, being the chief singer and songwriter, there was no better name for the project than his own, Jake Touzel.
December 2015 marked the release of Jake's debut offering, the "BAD FAITH" EP, a collection of songs about admitting who you really are and not being afraid to leave people behind. The four track album was produced and recorded by Jeff Zipp & Matt Drake at White Hart Studios in the heart of East Van.
