The Second Piano Concerto of Edward MacDowell, a composer/pianist championed and influenced by Liszt, is an eclectic, triumphant, quintessentially American work that will be performed by remarkable Italian pianist Alessio Bax, and VSO Principal Clarinet Jeanette Jonquil stars in Bernstein’s funky, jazzy Prelude, Fugue and Riffs.
