Testimonials
“I get grilled at the border almost every time I leave Canada and enter another Western country. As a brown man in a white country my privacy is invaded daily in the name of security and fears around terrorism. Foreign Radical is a show that captured my feelings and experience around this beautifully and made a statement that every immigrant community wants to make about our human rights / privacy. It’s a must see for everyone no matter what is your age, gender, culture.” Rohit Chokahni, Artistic Producer, Diwali Festival, Vancouver
"I can’t say enough about this performance piece by Theatre Conspiracy. It was on my mind for days after. Foreign Radical makes you take an active part in this game that is is being played with our rights and freedoms on the world stage. One second you are the victim; the next the interrogator. In the end you are left with a vast number of questions and a dark cloud of anxiety that looms overhead each time you click on a politicized link on the internet or when you cross a border. Essentially, Foreign Radical makes you feel like the entire Muslim world has felt since 9/11. – Tarique Qayumi, filmmaker, Targeting
