Panelists:
Chelene Knight is the managing editor at Room. She has been published in a variety of American and Canadian literary magazines. Chelene is the author of Braided Skin and Dear Current Occupant (forthcoming from BookThug in 2018). She lives in Vancouver.
Clélie Rich is a technical editor for Asentus Consulting Group. She was formerly the managing editor of Room magazine, and is a past director for CWILA. She lives in East Vancouver with her cat and far too many books.
Lana Okerlund was on the Room collective from 2002 to 2007. Now a partner with West Coast Editorial Associates, she edits, writes, and indexes non-fiction books and is an instructor in Simon Fraser University’s Editing Certificate program.
Cynthia Flood’s most recent book, Red Girl Rat Boy (Biblioasis, 2013), was shortlisted for the Ethel Wilson Prize and longlisted for the Frank O’Connor Short Story Award. She lives in Vancouver’s west end.
Juliane Okot Bitek lives and loves in Vancouver. She is a doctoral candidate at UBC and an avid reader, essayist, poet, and occasionally a short fiction writer. Her poetry collection, 100 Days, is published by University of Alberta Press.
