Electric Company Theatre and Studio 58 are excited to present the site-specific cabaret Flee: a darkly humorous and Kafkaesque tale blending theatre, live music, and video projection. This co-production reunites Electric Company artists with the school where it all began.
Archibald Twill, a destitute watchmaker down on his luck discovers a secret pool of talented fleas on a stray dog. When he creates a teeny tiny big top out of a shoebox to promote the insects, his fortunes turn. But this is no ordinary flea circus; the show becomes a cult hit, gaining a group of devoted followers who call themselves “Fleaks”. Soon, the flophouse where Twill rents a room is infested and becomes the scene of a counterculture outbreak. That is, until the humans who created it become aware that they are no longer running the show…
