The completely sold out headline tour saw Hayley performing her new music for her passionate and devoted fans in multiple cities throughout the US. According to Baeble, Hayley “managed to turn a sold out Studio at Webster Hall into an intimate dance party for everyone to feel free in a safe zone.”
Today, Hayley announces a highly-anticipated continuation of the “One Bad Night Tour,” which will kick off March 2nd in Santa Ana, CA and conclude April 1st in Chicago, IL. Highlights include a performance at New York City’s famed Bowery Ballroom on March 27th and multiple to-be-announced shows at South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, TX.
The name of the tour is spawned from a fan-favorite track from CITRINE called “One Bad Night.” The video – which was directed by Kiyoko herself and premiered via VICE Noisey – captures a strong, unexpected storyline centering around human compassion. Leading actress is Erin Armstrong a.k.a. “Grishno” – the first transgender personality to intimately document her transition on YouTube – and leading actor is Kelvin Harrison Jr. (The Birth Of A Nation, 12 Years A Slave).
CITRINE – which takes its name from the amber gemstone known in crystal work for its powerful healing energies – is highlighted by the self-empowerment anthem “Gravel To Tempo.” The single is accompanied by an equally powerful companion video, written and directed by Kiyoko, that premiered via Refinery 29 and has fast proven an online sensation, now with total views approaching 6 million at Hayley’s official YouTube channel.
Hayley is currently working on her debut album, which will be released later this year.
