CUBIXX / MINDBENDERZ (Iono Music) - Cubixx, aka Mattias Sperlich, who is also the Head of Iono Music from Berlin, Germany, was born and raised in Berlin and was deeply influenced by the growing Electronic genre boom that emerged after the wall broke down. He was deeply influenced by the uprising Progressive Trance genre, led by Iboga records, and was especially enchanted by Vibrasphere, Atmos and Phony Orphans. It wasn’t long after that together with Marcus Felter, Mattias formed a project named Koaxkaos. They tried to find a label that will release their debut album, but didn’t find one they liked, and so Cubixx decided to do what many other disappointed artists do – open a label.In 2005 Iono Music was born in an attempt to bring a fresh, innovative and creative new label. Having a and independent ground from his other career; Mattias was able to run Iono in his vision of high standards and originality. The overwhelming success of Iono Music was a clear sign that this kind of label was missing in the Psychedic Trance music industry. Mattias is juggling between being a label manager, A & R and a Booking Manager, to keep a clear and consistent musical agenda that benefits the whole psy-family.
Mindbenderz is a new collaboration between two creative artists that decided to share their common interest of exploring and bending new sonicscape. The duo consists of DJ Cubixx, aka Mattias Sperlich, who is also the Head of Iono Music from Berlin, Germany, and Philip Guillaume, aka Motion Drive, Blue Vortex and Rumble Pack, from Switzerland. Together they combine decades of experience of both mixing and making electronic dance music, and thousands of miles playing in the top dance floors across the world such as Voov, Fusion, Antaris, Ozora. Adding to this recipe their individual interests and expertise, they create a special kind of sound that takes their rich musical past into the next level of art.
