The holiday experience begins the moment you arrive! Festive lighting and decorations greet you at the entrance of the Village to give you a small glimpse of the spectacular display of history and lights awaiting inside.
Thousands of lights will brighten every visit:
-the multi-coloured lights on the huge sequoia tree by the carousel,
-the tree-wraps in the Farmhouse orchard,
-the lacy white lights on the maple tree near Hill Street,
-warm-white lights across the bridge
-lights that twinkle and change colours to sound at the Bandstand
-enchanted lit path between Elworth and the Bandstand
Back this year, is another new creative and fun menagerie of Eco-sculptures. Be sure to look for leaping frogs, a sleigh parked the Vorce tram station with its unique team ready to pull on command, and a partridge in a tree of paired items. The elegant ‘dancing ladies’ are back (on the lawn of Elworth) as well as the sweater clad bears (outside Tom Irvine’s house).
A stroll through the streets of the Village uncovers wreaths, cedar swags and vintage-themed displays. At the bandstand, visitors can create their own magical holiday show with new full-globe lights that twinkle and change colours to sound.
Special entertainment is scheduled throughout the season including theatre performances, community choirs, street characters and musicians. Many family favourite activities are back including a craft for children, baking in the Farmhouse and, of course, visits with Father Christmas.
