This field of inquiry, ethno-ornithology, combines avian identification, avian forensics, cosmology, cultural practices, land conservation, and the ‘Rights of Nature’ Ecuadorian constitutional amendment. UBC Beaty Biodiversity Museum’s Assistant Curator of Tetrapods, Ildiko Szabo, assisted UBC Museum of Anthropology curators with ‘Amazonia: The Rights of Nature’ Exhibit (March 9, 2017 – January 28, 2018).
