"What exists before purity? Started out as a solo electroacoustic project of Vancouver-based music maker Jay Park in 2015, Prepurity's sounds often reflect the natural soundscapes of Pacific Northwest. His subtle use of self-recorded samples of various textures added with his unique but familiar sense of melody and harmony generated by live instruments create a sonic experience unlike others.
In the early 2017, Park formed a live band, the Prepurity Ensemble; an always-evolving ensemble with Park at its core. The live sound of the band is faithful to the essence and the original imagination of Prepurity with the minimal integration of electronics. With the recent single release, Prepurity's first self-titled EP is scheduled to be released in mid-2017."
