The Richmond Carvers Society, formed in 1988, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of woodcarving as a hobby and an art form. Learn all there is to know about carving and see art created before your eyes as carvers showcase their skills at this free event!
The Richmond Carvers Annual show is a judged event with skill levels ranging from Student, Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert. Carving categories will encompass diverse subjects including birds, fish, mammals, figures, First Nations style and many more. In celebration of Canada 150, there will be special categories for Canadian birds, fish and First Nations style carvings.
We have categories from Novice to Expert in all themes. We have a Student’s category open to local high school students. Students are encouraged to enter not just carvings but any wood working project they have been working on.
