Twenty years ago the Cassini spacecraft left Earth on its journey to the ringed planet. Over the course of those twenty years, Cassini has made some incredible discoveries which we’ll showcase in this beautiful planetarium journey!
8:00pm and 9:00pm - Saturn Lecture - Dr. Aaron Boley - UBC
The Cassini mission not only explored Saturn but also launched a probe that landed on its moon Titan, which shower this tiny world may be the best place to find life in our solar system. Then, it surprisingly found geysers of water shooting out from Enceledus. If we’re to find life in our solar system, are these worlds the places to look? What kinds of future missions are being planned to help solve this incredible mystery?
