The Bills are renowned for their instrumental virtuosity, lush vocal arrangements, evocative songwriting, and a refreshing sound that transcends musical boundaries and defies simple categorization. Strings, bellows, keys, voices, skin and bows – these are the vehicles for The Bills’ unique sonic approach. With individual band members sporting world-class credentials in folk/roots, jazz, classical and world music, The Bills truly are a Canadian acoustic music super-group, and their combined creative studio talent and explosive live shows have made them legendary folk/roots entertainers.

Lead singer Eryn Sharpe, along with Guitarist Leon Nagasaki, and Upright Bassist Nick Mintenko began playing Jazz together a few years ago as the Eryn Sharpe Trio. What started off as a nostalgic obsession with their parents’ (and even grandparents’) music, turned into regular gigs, original song writing, an album, and now a 5-piece band – Mildly Wild.
DINNER MUSICIAN: CHERSEA
Surrounded by a myriad of instruments, Chersea uses her loop-stations to create ethereal walls of frequencies; all driven by her powerful voice and poetic lyrics, she’s able to conjure a sound like no other.
Chersea is a Peak Performance Project Finalist (2015), the Boss Loop Station National Canadian Championship Winner (2013), and LG. 104.3 VANcover’s Winner for December (2014). She has performed at Seasons Festival (2015) Rifflandia Festival (2014/2015), Canadian Music Week (2014/15/16) and Pop Montreal (2016).
