Halfway through the evening, we will come together to hear the author Eve Lazarus speak about Blood Sweat and Fear and have a question and answer period. Beer and wine will be available for purchase during the festivities and the museum exhibits will be open for roaming of the Morgue and Autopsy Suite. Tours of the City Analyst Lab will resume after Eve’s talk for those who missed them in the beginning. Don’t forget to purchase Blood Sweat and Fear from the museum gift shop before you!

In the early 1900s John Vance led the movement of forensic investigation in Vancouver and would continue to develop and expand this science to solve crime for over 40 years. Vance molded forensics to the evolution of not only the Vancouver Police Department but law enforcement all over British Columbia. He has solved everything from robberies and hit-and-runs to some of the most sensational murder cases of the 20th century. Vance’s role was so vital that vengeful criminals attempted to take his life seven different times!
