Eileen & the In-Between's We Ain’t Giving Up Tour will traverse the West Coast and Canada from June-July 2017 as a direct response to the rising tide of racism, sexism, and transphobia around the world. We Ain’t Giving Up is the title track of Eileen & the In-Between’s new album.
"I wrote this song the week after the U.S. presidential election feeling fear and despair at the rising tide of racism, sexism, hatred, and xenophobia around the world. I wanted to write a song that was both truthful about those fears and also rooted in fierce resilience...a rallying cry for those of us committed to social justice and sustainability. We can do this, together. And no, we ain't giving up!"–Eileen.
The We Ain’t Giving Up Tour will follow Eileen & the In-Between’s creative desire to collaborate with local environmental and social justice groups along their tour route, experimenting with music/art as a tool of social change. We Ain’t Giving Up will be hosted by various social justice groups, including Gender Reconciliation International in Seattle and with Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) in Olympia, Washington.
