Ebenezer Scrooge is a greedy miser who despises Christmas. One Christmas Eve, he is visited by the ghost of a deceased business partner and the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Scrooge is given the opportunity to reflect upon his life, examine his heart, and be transformed by the spirit of the season.
“A Christmas Carol has always been one of my favourite stories,” says Artistic Director Jovanni Sy. “Call me a sucker for second-chance stories but I’ve always been drawn to tales of redemption. In life, I can’t think of many things more moving than being given the opportunity to say sorry for past wrongs and take a new path. And I can’t think of many things more loving than forgiving someone and allowing them to make amends. And what better time to tell a timeless story that encourages grace and generosity towards our neighbours?”
Our adaptation of this classic Charles Dickens story features live music and energetic staging. Like all of our holiday shows of the past, A Christmas Carol will be a fun-filled spectacle for the whole family to enjoy together.
