Burnaby, Simon Fraser UniversityCost: Free
It's the Canada Day event you know and love, but this year we have a new name and we're bringing the fete to Simon Fraser University! DJ Nea will be spinning soca, dancehall, and reggae and she's sure to bring down the mountain! This is one event you don't want to miss.
Pack your cooler and your picnic supplies, and come jam with us! Whether you want to dance under the sun, run around pelting paint, or just kick back and relax, you're guaranteed to have an awesome day. And best of all, this event is FREE. We bring the music and the paint, you bring the vibes!
If you have any questions, please post in the discussion, private message us, or email us at carnival.sensations@gmail.com.
* IMPORANT INFORMATION *
LOCATION: You'll find us on Saywell Field, which is conveniently located next to the main bus loop as well as parking in East Lot or North Lot ($3.25/hour or $6.50 for the day).
FOOD: Please note that on-site grilling is *not* permitted. Pack your cooler with everything you'll need for the day though sharing is always encouraged.
PAINT: We'll be giving out paint on a first come, first served basis so arrive early. All paint is non-toxic and safe to play with but please be careful not to get paint in anyone's eyes or mouth. When in doubt, aim below the neck.
DRESS CODE: Wear something white and wear something you don't mind getting dirty. Although the paint (normally) washes off easily, your clothing will get stained. Also remember to pack a change of clothes for the ride home or supplies to protect your vehicle (eg. towels or garbage bags).
CLEANING UP: We'll designate a particular building for washroom use. Please take care not to get paint on any exterior or interior building surfaces (or clean up after yourself if you do). We're hoping to make SFU our new home for this event, and we want to make a good impression - which means leaving everything exactly as we found it.
