Renfrew Ravine is filled with hidden artistic gems, come attend this event to learn about neighborhood history, and help us maintain some of the existing art
Date/Time: Jul 25 2017, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Vancouver, 3900 Renfrew StreetCost: Free
We will walk around the northern part of Renfrew Ravine Park, and learn about the ecological and urban development history of Still Creek and two associated community art installations. The two installations we will examine are the yin-yang bench with mosaic, and the bags for bees youth project. After the community art and Still Creek history tour, we will clean and revive the yin-yang bench mosaic.
Come participate in community place-making!
Still Moon Arts Society acknowledges that we are on the unceded, occupied, and traditional lands of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh), and Stó:lō nations, and for this we are thankful. Through creating art, restoring environment, and building community, Still Moon commits to facilitating spaces for understanding and for knowledge sharing. This work will acknowledge and respect the contexts of the past and the present.
