Downtown stargazing - Vancouver Civic Theatres partners with film fests for free outdoor films - bring a chair to Sunset Cinema at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre plaza

This summer Vancouver Civic Theatres is partnering with six local film organizations to present the inaugural Sunset Cinema series.
Sunset Cinema will show a dynamic selection of films from Il Centro Italian Cultural Centre, Vancouver Queer Film Festival, Women in Film and TV, Crazy8s, and a special collaborative presentation from DOXA and Vancouver Indigenous Media Arts Festival (VIMAF). Preshow activities will start at 7pm and the movie will start rolling at dusk. Attendees are encouraged to come early to enjoy games and contests, and bring a chair or blanket to sit on for the main event. Snacks and drinks will be available from the Queen Elizabeth Theatre bar.
Curated by some of the most prestigious film festivals on the West Coast, Sunset Cinema will be an outdoor cultural film experience unlike any other.
