FarmFolk CityFolk, the Bauta Initiative on Canadian Seed Security and the Italian Cultural Centre are co-hosting a family-friendly event at the Italian Cultural Centre’s outdoor space adjacent to Beaconsfield Park. Meet local grain growers, hand-mill flour, participate in a barley tasting, see how grain is distilled into alcohol, eat, drink and get local!
Event tickets include: authentic Italian pizza made from wheat grown by Cedar Isle Farm in Agassiz and dough prepared by Terra Breads, organic salad from Fresh Roots, and 2 glasses of beer from local breweries Luppolo and Dogwood Brewing or soft drinks.
Tickets: $30 for adults (early bird $25 to August 1). $5 for kids. Under 5 are free.
