Candace Hill shares her teachings relating to the cycle of sexuality as a foundation for human life, and the womb as the centre of sacred power for women as Life Givers. Brown Bear Woman is a gifted story teller, and weaves her teachings around Moontime (menstraul cycles), blood, sexuality, and conception, with her wisdom, life experience, and traditional knowledge.
Candace, whose traditional Cree name is Osawuskiskwew (Brown Bear Woman), is a woman of mixed ancestry, she is Nêhiyaw-Cree, Anninshanbe-Ojibwa, Scottish, & Irish. She is also a mother, seeker of truth, photographer, who loves the "Art of Seeing", a writer,Traditional Aboriginal Healer, family counselor, and passionate true health activist. This will be an evening of incredible energy, setting the tone for the ongoing series of teachings, regarding issues of decolonizing, and reconnecting to traditional ways of honouring pregnancy and childbirth.
This event will be free for Indigenous families, and $30.00 for the greater community, (raising money for the FRAFCA Indigenous doula program). It is open to women, those who identify as women, girls, and men who wish to honour the sacred teachings for women in thier role as protectors. Members of the birth community, and health care providers wishing to connect with deeper teachings around the cycle of sexuality are warmly invited to attend.
