We want to support each other despite being from different communities. This walk symbolizes the unity amongst us.
The main objective of this walk is to rejuvenate the relationships among indigenous people and all Canadians. Also, engaging multi-faith and multi-cultural communities to explore the real meaning of reconciliation. Through this walk, Reconciliation Canada is taking an initiative to bring positive change in communities throughout Canada.
FREE EVENT: Join the Latino community group next September 24th, signing up the form or just arriving that day to walk with us.
There is 2 km route from Cambie St. and Georgia St. to Strathcona Park.
Meeting Point: 9:00 am at entrance of Vancouver Public Library
Opening Ceremony and welcome speech: 9:30am
Walk starts: 9:45 am
Reconciliation Expo starts at 10:30 am-3:00 pm
Participants can wear something to represent their own community if they want to. For example a t-shirt, accessories, among others (not mandatory)
