Vicky, a natural science, medical and botanical illustrator, delights in connecting people to nature through art. After having graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in scientific/medical illustration, Vicky moved to the West Coast and has called Vancouver home for three decades. She became especially passionate about tropical rainforests during excursions to Central America and Asia that began in 1992. After working in the health care profession over thirty years, Vicky is now dedicated to sharing nature’s stories that take place all around us.
Vicky’s preferred medium is watercolour, occasionally using metalpoint and mixed media. Her work has been part of numerous international juried exhibitions, including Focus on Nature XIV at the New York State Museum. She is a member of the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators, the American Society of Botanical Artists, and the Health and Science Communications Association.
