They will discuss fungal ecology and importance in forest ecosystems, and introduce how to identify different mushroom families based on physical macroscopic characteristics. Species of special interest, e.g. edible, toxic, will also be discussed, and freshly collected or dried specimens will be on display for viewing. Presented in collaboration with the Vancouver Mycological Society. VMS members can also enjoy the discounted rate with proof of membership.
