Indigenous Culture: Appropriation versus Appreciation
Cafés are always free, and everyone is welcome to join the conversation.
The discussion will be guided by the following questions:
What is cultural appropriation?
How might we, as individuals, play a role in Indigenous cultural appropriation?
What are the positive ways forward to build cultural appreciation?
Guest moderator Maynard Johnny Jr and Moderator Maria Turnbull will facilitate the conversation.
Pushing Boundaries exhibition celebrates contemporary First Nations artwork and runs Oct 6 – Nov 10, 2017 at CityScape Community Art Space.
