FOR THE FIRST TIME IN VANCOUVER NEW ZEALAND’S PREMIER CIRCUS TROUPE!
The Goblin Market is a contemporary circus re-telling of Christina Rossetti’s poem, following two sisters, their temptation, sacrifice and eventual salvation. Delicious circus is precariously balanced with gritty performances and candid story telling. The production celebrates the female gaze in its exploration of sexuality and sisterhood, through double trapeze, mask, projection, acrobatics, spoken word and music. This is circus with a Southern hemisphere flair, integrating multidisciplinary art for a stunning poetic theatre presentation of cirque artistry and skill. Eat fruit. Love lust.
