Stephen Dittberner has been creating art since his childhood. After finishing art college at Pretoria Technikon, he started working as an illustrator in an advertising agency but continued to paint for family and friends.
Beginning a new chapter in his life, Stephen is investing more time in his art work. His love for nature began as a child watching nature documentaries, reading National Geographic and exploring the river bends of Canada.
Our Rivers Rock is motivated by the local creeks and rivers in the Lower Mainland. “Taking time to observe and note what happens in the water is the genesis and inspiration of my work,” says Stephen. “Having these creeks and rivers right on our doorstep always inspires and uplifts me.”
