How can we ensure universities serve the needs of students? How must universities evolve to ensure their approach to educating is contemporary, fulfilling, and relevant?
Marina Kim, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Ashoka U, will speak to these important questions during the SFU Vancouver Speaker Series. After her presentation, Kris Magnusson, Dean of SFU’s Faculty of Education, will join Marina for a discussion on the role that universities must play in ensuring their graduates have the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to succeed in a world characterized by economic, social, and environmental upheaval. Audience members are encouraged to pose their own questions about the future of learning (and educating) to the presenters during a Q&A period.
You are invited to attend this engaging, informative, and provocative presentation that marks the launch of SFU Vancouver’s Open Learning Week. This event is presented by SFU Vancouver in partnership with SFU Public Square and SFU’s Vancity Office of Community Engagement.
*Please note that the ticket price includes the event and a post-event networking reception with light refreshments. A cash bar will be available before and after the event.
