Join Benedetta Diamanti, a graduate of the Slow Food University of Gastronomic Sciences in Italy, in this intimate hands-on class to learn everything about the boiling water bath canning technique, from the most useful tools to the best ingredients and the safest practices. Benedetta will teach you how to make a red wine jelly and a cinnamon-scented pear and cocoa jam. You will bring home a delicious jar and some nice ideas for tasteful and homemade Christmas gifts!
All the ingredients and kitchen tools are supplied, but make sure to bring an apron and a full belly! You are also welcome to bring your own wine if you’d like to have a glass of wine during the class. While the class starts at 6.30, please arrive a few minutes early.
