Zines emerged from the dank basements of sci-fi into the beer-soaked halls of punk rock in the late 1970s. Now they’ve emerged blinking under the bright lights of the White Cube. How did this happen? Where is this all going? Our intrepid panelists will search for answers with help from you, the audience.

Panelists:
ALISTAIR HENNING (Vancouver), moderator & event organizer, is an award-winning photographer who started off as a musician, DJ, and record producer. When he's not working or asleep, there's a good chance he's reading or recommending photobooks.
JULES ANDRE-BROWN (Vancouver) aka The Homeboy Jules, is a member of longstanding DJ collective Crimes & Treasons, which has published numerous zines inspired by their love of music and underground art.
SYLVANA D'ANGELO (Vancouver) studies the human condition and endeavors to understand culture through superstition and belief. Blurring the lines between what could be real from what is real, her work is a visual study of idealism and the underlying interconnected evolution of progress.
