Raffi Cavoukian, better known by his mononym Raffi, is an Egyptian-born Canadian singer-songwriter and author best known for his children's music. He has developed his career as a "global troubadour", to become a music producer, author, entrepreneur, and founder of the Centre for Child Honouring, a vision for global restoration.
A Raffi Concert would be one of the better known acts in today's Children/Family scene.
While 'family' shows are quite obviously aimed at children, they are a chance for the whole family to enjoy some entertainment together. Performed on stage or even on an ice rink, such shows often draw on well-known characters from television and movies that the younger ones may be familiar with.
Music and dance usually play a key part in a family show, keeping children entertained and captivated throughout. Most shows tour giving younger people a chance to see their favorite characters in action without having to go too far afield.
One example of these family shows would be the Disney On Ice series, which takes well-known tales, revamps them and gives them a new lease of life through performances by household names such as Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.
