The tour will be hosted by International Multicultural Development Group. Title sponsorship by Respon International Group and the proceeds of the tour will be donated to International Multicultural Development Foundation for further developing multiculturalism, building multicultural platforms for cultural exchange, and supporting children education of the less fortunate.
Established in 1999, Red Poppy is the first Chinese female percussion band, which brings together a group of outstanding female percussionists from all parts of China. To introduce the high-brow percussion art to the market, the band has made bold steps forward and created a unique form and style. Since its birth, Red Poppy has been given nearly a thousand concerts to Chinese audience, as well as the audience in over ten countries.In September 2004, it received the highest reputation “World Peace Award” at the “Olympics of World Culture” sponsered by WCO. Over the years, they’ve participated in numerous events including the CCTV Spring Festivals, the Beijing APEC Assembly, as well as international events such as the Olympics (Athens, Beijing, and London). The have been sent abroad multiple times by the Chinese Cultural Department and received good reputation both at home and abroad. The group was also invited to participate in the filming of the Hollywood film “The Great Wall”, directed by well-known Chinese director Zhang Yimo. The film is set to release in 2016 with a production cost of over 100 million.
