Coastal City Ballet’s full-length version of the cautionary tale features imaginative sets, fantastical costumes, and the hauntingly beautiful music of Humperdinck’s beautiful opera. The ballet will be brought to life by Coastal City Ballet, as well as local dance students from throughout the Lower Mainland who auditioned for the opportunity to perform alongside the company artists.
The classical production tells the timeless story of a brother and sister-duo who get lost in the woods and stumble upon a delectable house made of gingerbread. Hansel and Gretel are soon helping themselves, unaware they are falling into the Witch’s trap.
