We will journey together through an overview of our shared history and explore how this continues to influence the wellness of our families, communities and nations. We will learn about the residential schools, their legacy, and intergenerational impacts as well as the findings and Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
Through dialogue, we’ll make the connection of this shared history to individuals, organizations, communities, and our Nation. With the energy and wisdom in the room we’ll co-create a safe and brave space to have meaningful conversations that move reconciliation forward.
This engaging workshop rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing and being, remembers the importance of focusing on resiliency and hope. You will leave with teachings, reflections, inspiration to know more and do more, and ideas of how you and your organization can take part in reconciliation.
We will start the day with bannock, fruit, tea & coffee and move into a beautifully prepared traditional lunch from Salishan Catering.
It is important to us that this learning is available to everyone. If the cost is a barrier to your participation, please contact us for a 'creative tuition' conversation. We do our best to be as accessible as we can.
