Numerous Gemini, Canadian Comedy and Canadian Screen Award-winning Mary Walsh was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Walsh has been ubiquitous on Canadian television including numerous recent appearances on the show she co-created, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and has appeared in many feature films. She was made a Member of the Order of Canada in 2000 and in 2012 she received a Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards for Lifetime Artistic Achievement.
