Three actor writers – two Indigenous and one white – come together to create a play about the political conflicts surrounding Canada’s oil industry, confronting their own prejudices and hypocrisies along the way.
Premiering last year to rave reviews and sold out houses at Richmond’s Gateway Theatre, The Pipeline Project is not only an investigation into the growing conflicts between BC First Nations and the fossil fuel industry, it is an evocative exploration of Reconciliation, environmentalism and first world privilege.
The second act is a Talk Forward. Each night a different guest speaker will respond to the play and then participate in a facilitated conversation with the audience.
