BC CITT’s (Canadian Institute for Theatre Technology) Tech-Nique Showcase is the highlight at the end of a 4-day Tech-Nique workshop for up and coming theatre technicians. It is a night of music where aspiring techs have a chance to operate the equipment after learning the ins and outs from professionals in the fields of Lighting and Sound. We pride ourselves on having a strong instructor to student ratio and in 2017 there was almost as many instructors as there was students! In 2018 we are excited to have Line 49 a local rock band as well as some other local Maple Ridge Talent on the stage.
Everyone is invited to join us for a night of great music while our local youth have a chance to show us their skills in making a live event happen.
“Line49 brings more than music – they bring a big performance, great dance songs and a rock concert atmosphere. These guys take a cover band to a whole new level!”
Jamie Goehring – Jet Set Crew
Line49 is a guitar-driven cover band rocking out tunes from 80’s new wave, alternative and rock ‘n roll bands to cutting-edge songs from today’s modern acts. Founded in 2009 by guitarist Henry Yan, the band includes Colin Holyk on guitar, James Faulkner on vocals, David Law on bass and Matt Pavin on drums.
The band has built a buzz in the bar and festival circuit over the past 5 years and has become one of the favourites of bar staff and party goers.
“When it comes down to it, we really love what we do and the audience loves it too. So often we hear ‘this is the kind of music I love, how come no one else is playing it?!’ which just reinforces our passion and commitment every time we are on stage.” – Line49
