In what way do the criticisms addressed to cultural mediation allow it to push its limits? Can its values and repertoires of action help transform social relationships?
Nathalie Casemajor is a co-editor of Expériences critiques de la médiation culturelle. This book proposes to re-evaluate the anchors of cultural mediation in the face of recent transformations of society, culture and capitalism. It brings together contributions from Quebecois and European researchers who question its institutional foundations, its praxis and its discourses. If there is no consensus around the definition of cultural mediation, the tensions that animate it make it possible to rethink socio-cultural intervention today.
