About the Exhibit
Many Visions, Many Versions: Art from Indigenous Communities in India is on display at Surrey Art Gallery until March 25. This boldly coloured and vibrantly patterned collection of paintings presents a rare opportunity to experience the art of four major indigenous artistic traditions from South Asia: the Gond and Warli communities of central India, the Mithila region of Bihar, and the narrative scroll painters of West Bengal.
