Teams are encouraged to choose a name, dress up accordingly, and come prepared to exercise those little grey cells. Challenge your colleagues, bring your friends and neighbours, and help raise money to support literacy projects in Uganda and at home.
The Douglas College Uganda Project began in 2005 and has enabled students to fulfill international practicums and internships in Uganda. With the help of the Rotary Club of Coquitlam Sunrise, funds have been raised to support the project at an annual Uganda Quiz Night that began in 2010. A portion of the funds raised have also been used to support literacy projects in Uganda, in which the students participate. Working and learning in Uganda helps students become better practitioners, who are able to provide culturally enhanced and sensitive services to clients, in future professional work.
