We are living in a golden age of scientific discovery, an age of exploration that far surpasses all that came before, and space-science research and space exploration are at the forefront. An armada of new telescopes and spacecraft will soon dramatically accelerate the pace of discovery, and humans will soon venture again beyond Earth orbit. At the same time, everyone can directly experience the wonders of the universe, and contribute to scientific discovery, from the ground (and on a budget!). This talk will highlight some ways to personally explore space at 1 g.
