International Women's Day at Bandidas!

On March 8th, we'll be honouring and celebrating International Women's Day with a fundraiser and art show, and we want you to be there! We will be donating 100% of our profits all day to 8 organizations that support and serve women*. We will donate to the following organizations: WAVAW-Rape Crisis Centre, Safeteen - Powerful Alternatives to Violence, Downtown Eastside Women's Centre, Sheway, Equal Voice, Native Women's Association of Canada, CCMW National, Egale Canada Human Rights Trust

This day will also be the launch of an art show we'll be hosting until April 21st, that deals with feminist themes.

We're always excited to be able to hold fundraisers at Bandidas, and as a female-run business, this one means a lot. We would love for you to share this event, invite your friends, pencil it in, mark your calendars, bring your family, friends and loved ones to Bandidas on March 8th. Share some tacos, grab your favourite burrito, maybe a margarita or two, and know that it's all in the name of a great cause. Strange Fellows Brewing Hoyne Brewing Company & Salt Spring Coffee are donating their delicious products for the day, so drinking lots of beer and coffee is encouraged!

On this day and all days, Bandidas strives to be an inclusive space for all people.

*We're aware the term 'women' can feel exclusive to many people who do not identify as female, but who are affected by the IWD movement. We want to support all humans, and have chosen a few appropriate organizations to reflect this. Non-binary and binary trans folks: we hope you feel safe here, and we welcome you into this dialogue.
