Harbour Dance Centre’s Intensive Training Program (ITP) provides the education aspiring dancers need to pursue a career in commercial dance. Harbour Dance Centre’s classes, seminars and mentorship help dancers realize their future in this industry.
ITP consists of 25 hours per week in company and open classes. Students work closely with the directors to build a custom program from Harbour’s extensive open schedule. Harbour’s faculty of over 75 teachers continue to work professionally in the industry and help students discover new artistic talents.
Class choices include Ballet, Contemporary-Jazz, Musical Theatre, Hip-Hop and Tap. Weekly company classes include Jazz Technique, Ballet, Pilates, Circus, Physical Conditioning, Improvisation and Vocal Coaching. Besides technical training, guest teachers are brought in to set choreography on the company. These pieces give ITP the opportunity to perform at events around the city and year-end showcase.
Graduates of ITP may join Harbour Dance’s Aviary Dance Company to further their training and continue to perform
