What does it mean to "belong" in today's world? Music on March 10th examines different aspects of belonging and finding one's place, exploring aspects of family, romantic love, home and homeland, friendship, faith, and the growing sense of identity and belonging that youth experience as they become adults.
VYC is known for their eclectic and adventurous programming, and this concert is no exception. Audience members can look forward to music by Pärt Uusberg, Thomas Tallis, Sufjan Stevens, Moses Hogan, Josef Rheinberger, Sarah Quartel, and Veljo Tormis, as well as folk music from Romania, Sweden, and Estonia, AND the premiere of a brand new commission by Katerina Gimon, with text by Sharlene Petigara.
